It’s our pleasure to invite you to attend the 12th International Conference on Salt Lake Research which will be held in July 14–18, 2014, at The Convention Center of the Grand Epoch City, located at suburban of Beijing City，Ping’an Street, Town Xianghe, Langfang City, Hebei province, about 60 kilometers of Beijing Capital International Airport (BCIA).

This conference brings together international specialists in limnology, sedimentology, geology, geochemistry, biology, ecology, management and conservation issues to present the latest results and ideas on research and use of saline lakes. The five-day conference will be organized by topical symposia and problem-oriented sessions onsalt lake research and sustainable development.

There are two post-conference field trips planned, a 7-day Qinghai salt lakes trip and a 4-day Inner Mongolia salt lake trip.

The conference venue, Grand Epoch City, situated at the south eastern suburb of Beijing. It enjoys a predominant geographic position and a convenient access to the transportation. Grand Epoch City’s city walls are real copy of the old Beijing City at its Ming and Qing dynasties. The wonderful Yuan Ming yuan and Prince’s residence and courtyard houses display the essence of ancient Chinese culture and unique Chinese architecture. The environment is nice with fresh air. All the activities will be held in the same building of Fu An Hotel.
