International Society for Salt Lake Research announces a call for travel awards to take part in the 15th International Conference on Salt Lake Research. The maximum amount of each award is up to 500 USD but not exceeding the price of travel costs from the city of residence to Turkey + conference registration fee.
The award is open to:
а) students
b) young career researchers below 30 year old
c) young career researchers 5 years after graduation (PhD of MsC) (+ 2 years for parental leave, if relevant)
d) senior scientists in special situations of political persecution.
The awards will be given on a competitive basis.
In order to apply for a travel award please send the application to the Secretary of the Society Prof. Wayne Wurtsbaugh wurtsbaugh@gmail.com before May 30. The application should include:
- Name,
- Date and year of birth,
- Current position,
- Date of Master degree or PhD was obtained (if relevant),
- Information about the duration and period of parental leave (if relevant),
- Title and abstract of your planned talk at the conference,
- Estimated cheapest price of return air ticket or train/bus/other transportation (for travel distance shorter than 500 km) from your destination to Turkey,
- For applicants in the category d) brief explanation of the situation.
